Do not laugh… Good, j'avoue, the chicken is not very sexy at taking pictures, not very classy indeed. I have to say that I have a good laugh when I had to make my series of photos, and I wasn't the only one…

Nevertheless, it is a classic of French cuisine and we really sportive with this good chicken bought from a market producer.
A dining with family or friends, It will be the pleasure of the great and small. It has been the case with us… And then, We are in full in the citrus season, so it's time to enjoy during the holidays and bring a little freshness of citrus to our plates.

Roast lemon chicken {Christmas recipe #3}

Ingredients (of 6)

  • 1 farmer's chicken 1,5 kg
  • 1 faisselle
  • 4 lemons
  • 4 coarsely minced shallots
  • 3 whole garlic cloves slightly crushed
  • 5 c. à s. olive oil
  • Rosemary
  • 10 CL of fresh cream
  • 2 c. à s. grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper

Description

Preheat oven to 180 °.

Cut 3 lemons in 4 neighborhoods, squeeze the juice from the last and book.

Place your chicken in an oven dish and pour the cheese drainer in the Interior as well as a wedge of lemon and a tablespoon of olive oil.
On top of the chicken, divide the rest of olive oil, Sprinkle with Rosemary, salt and pepper.
Wrap around the rest of the lemon wedges, garlic and shallot.
Bake 30 minutes and then pull out your chicken from the oven and pour the juice of the lemon on top.
Extend the cooking again 40 minutes regular basting your chicken with the juices from the dish (about 2 or 3 times).
Once finished cooking, exit your fried chicken to finalize your sauce by pouring into the dish, cream and parmesan. Pace well and the tour and played.

You can serve this good roast lemon chicken with a potatoes and carrots baked

  1. C’est vrai que c’est super bon! j’avais déjà fait des blancs de poulet au citron (un truc très anglo-saxon apparemment) et j’avais adoré, et c’est une idée originale pour noël!

  3. C’est vrai que c’est très bon le poulet au citron. Je ne connaissais pas cette recette avec la faisselle à l’intérieur, ça doit donner une viande bien moelleuse, je note !
    Je pense que si tu avais retourné ton poulet pour les photos il aurait eu l’air moins… indécent^^
